Cases Surged in the State After Trump’s September Rally
As Donald Trump continues his Keep America Sick tour in Wisconsin, Protect Our Care’s Coronavirus War Room Director Zac Petkanas released the following statement:
“Wisconsin is one of the worst hit centers of this third wave and it’s downright heartless for Donald Trump to further endanger Wisconsinites with another crowded, maskless super-spreader rally.
“In a state that’s building field hospitals and shutting down schools because so many teachers are in quarantine, Donald Trump is determined to make things worse again.
“He owns this crisis and has since day one when he decided to downplay the danger, undermine his own experts, and forgo his responsibility to lead on mitigation efforts like masks and social-distancing, choosing instead to mock them.
“It’s telling that Donald Trump is willing to risk the lives of Wisconsinites if it means he can get some applause and boost his ego. Trump has never cared about the health and safety of these communities and his rally today is proof.”
