In response to the United States reaching 4 million coronavirus cases, Protect Our Care’s Coronavirus War Room Director Zac Petkanas issued the following statement:
“Donald Trump likes to say America First. He certainly got his wish.
“No other country in the world has more than 4 million cases of coronavirus. Not one.
“The reason is clear: no other country in the world has to deal with Donald Trump’s utter incompetence that has made a bad situation even worse. Instead of taking decisive action to stop the virus from spreading, Trump spent months downplaying the danger, ignoring experts warning him to ramp up testing and rushing states to reopen even when their hospitals were over capacity with sick patients.
“The time is long past for the president to stop trying to spin the damage caused by the virus out of some ill conceived notion that it helps his reelection — and to tackle it head on by listening to experts who just want to save lives.”
