In response to reports that the Trump administration plans to end federal funding and support for coronavirus testing sites at the end of this month, Coronavirus War Room Director Zac Petkanas issued the following statement:
“By ending federal funding and support for local coronavirus testing sites, Trump is proving he wasn’t kidding when he pledged to slow down testing.
“His words are being backed up by action.
“This decision will make worse an already catastrophic crisis that has cost more than 120,000 lives, put our country in a recession, and led to cases to skyrocket in states across the country.
“It’s pretty simple: by undermining our nation’s testing infrastructure: more people will die.”
