The past few weeks have seen milestone after milestone in the fight against COVID-19 with cases, hospitalizations and deaths plummeting nationwide. And just yesterday the White House announced that 50% of the U.S. population 18 and older has been fully vaccinated.
In order to reach a broader and younger audience, President Biden’s team is making a full-court press to meet Americans where they are to encourage them to get vaccinated. Whether it’s through ridesharing apps like Uber and Lyft who are offering free rides to vaccination sites, allowing states to offer cash incentives for vaccinations, or dating apps that allow people to highlight whether they’ve been vaccinated, to video messages from President Biden, Vice President Harris and other senior officials on Snapchat, President Biden understands that in order to defeat this pandemic it takes an unprecedented effort to get people the information they need by any means necessary.
By pulling out every stop in his vaccination effort, it’s clear that President Biden is well on his way of delivering on his promise of vaccinating 70% of Americans by July 4.
