State and local governments are struggling without federal support to administer the vaccines. Millions of doses are sitting in warehouses or pharmacy shelves, on the verge of expiring, because there is no effective plan. Across the country, state and local officials, health care professionals, and every day people are pleading for more action to help finally end this pandemic. Trump has made clear, there will be none while he remains in office.
In a bright spot, however, the incoming Biden Administration has announced that they will reverse Trump policy and release all vaccine doses being held in reserve. This step signals that the Biden Administration will begin the hard work of rectifying the Trump administration’s vaccine debacle.
