Protect Our Care’s Coronavirus War Room released a new video highlighting the Trump Administration’s deadly pursuit of a herd immunity strategy while the coronavirus crisis exploded out of control, leaving more than 16 million Americans infected and more than 300,000 Americans dead.
A top Health and Human Services official was discovered to have said ‘we want them infected’ in newly released emails. They also pushed junk science and false information downplaying the danger to young and middle aged people in an effort to support their deadly strategy.
In response, Coronavirus War Room Director Zac Petkanas released the following statement:
“At every turn, the Trump Administration sought to influence and strong-arm independent public health agencies for political gain, putting the economic priorities of their wealthy corporate donors and Donald Trump’s reelection campaign ahead of the health and safety of the American people.
“Thousands upon thousands of Americans died as a direct result of Trump’s willingness to sacrifice American lives for political gain and his efforts to sabotage the pandemic response for the incoming Biden Administration.”
The video is being promoted on social channels nationally and in key states – including Georgia where Trump’s abysmal record on the coronavirus is weighing down the candidacies of Senators Perdue and Loeffler. Perdue and Loeffler are in tight races for re-election after adopting Trump’s playbook of downplaying the virus and obstructing a significant COVID relief measure which Georgia desperately needs.
