This Week President Biden Announced 250 Million COVID-19 Vaccine Shots Have Been Administered Since Taking Office As the CDC Eases Mask Policy and COVID-19 Cases Plummet, Deaths Drop to Lowest Since April 2020

President Biden’s vaccine effort continues to show how effective his leadership has been during this crisis. Yesterday, the CDC announced that due to the administration’s unprecedented vaccine effort, fully vaccinated Americans no longer need to wear a mask in most settings. This monumental news followed the announcement this week that 250 million COVID-19 vaccine shots have been administered since President Biden took office. The good news continued as reports this week also showed that COVID-19 cases are plummeting and deaths are down to their lowest point since April of 2020 highlighting President Biden’s commitment to defeating this pandemic is paying off.

In response to President Biden’s key milestones reached this week in the fight to defeat COVID-19, Protect Our Care’s War Room Spokesperson Michael Feldman released the following statement:

“President Biden’s historic achievement of delivering 250 million COVID-19 shots is a victory for all Americans and a testament to his aggressive action to end this crisis. Thanks to this administration’s unprecedented vaccine program, fully-vaccinated Americans will be able to regain a sense of normalcy not felt since before this crisis. President Biden’s vaccine effort continues to go from good to great as coronavirus deaths are down to the lowest levels since April of 2020 and cases plummet nationwide to the lowest point in months.

“Starting the day he took office, President Biden took immediate action to transform the disastrous vaccine distribution program he inherited into one that’s delivering vaccines at a record pace.

“As the Biden Administration expands vaccine eligibility for 12-15 year olds and COVID-19 cases and deaths drop to near-pandemic era lows it’s clear that President Biden’s vaccination strategy is exceeding expectations and under his leadership we are closer than ever to defeating this pandemic.”
