Promises Kept: President Biden’s First 100 Days in Office Have Put Americans On Path to Defeating Pandemic, Revitalizing Economy

In response to President Biden reaching his 100th day in office having fulfilled key promises to the American people to bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic, Protect Our Care Spokesperson Michael Feldman issued the following statement:

“President Biden’s historic first 100 days in office have shown just how committed he is to bringing an end to the coronavirus crisis. From the day he took office, it was clear that President Biden was going to put the health and safety and economic recovery of the American people as his top priority, and 100 days later, he did not disappoint.

“When handed a disastrous vaccine program by the previous administration, President Biden turned it into one that delivered shots in arms to over half of all adults at a record pace. When handed an economy in crisis, he passed the American Rescue Plan to get the economy back to pre-pandemic levels with direct stimulus checks, expanded unemployment insurance, state and local aid keeping essential workers like nurses, firefighters and EMTs on the job, assistance for families struggling to make rent and mortgage payments, and the funding for a national testing and vaccine distribution effort that will finally get this pandemic under control.

“As Americans get vaccinated at a record pace, coronavirus cases drop, and people have more money in their pockets, it’s clear that if not for President Biden and Democrats’ leadership to consistently put the health and safety of Americans first, we would not be where we are today. If the first 100 days are any indication, under President Biden’s leadership, America is well on its way to a better, safer and healthier future.”
