“After two brilliantly run campaigns, Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff secured hard fought victories and delivered a majority in the Senate.
“Their success will be crucial to cleaning up the mess left by the outgoing Trump Administration, including a disastrous vaccine distribution process that’s left lifesaving doses expiring in warehouses, a virus continuing to spread out of control, thousands more dying every day and hospitals overwhelmed.
“The crisis is far from over and cleaning up the Trump Administration’s massive failures will be a long, horrible slog. However, Warnock’s and Ossoff’s victories, following President-elect Biden’s victory in November, represents the next step towards building a national vaccine distribution plan from scratch, finally passing meaningful direct relief for families struggling with the fallout of this crisis, and confirming a highly qualified Cabinet that will lead the response.
