This week’s Republican National Convention was characterized by a complete disregard for American lives and for reality. Throughout four days — as nearly 4,000 people lost their lives — Trump and Republicans surrendered to the virus, flouting expert guidance on distancing while pretending the pandemic was a thing of the past.
But on earth, it’s not. Despite Republicans’ desperate attempts to wish the virus away, with 180,000 lives lost and nearly 6 million people infected, it continues to spread uncontrolled as a result of President Trump’s disastrous response.
