Trump Besmirches George Floyd’s Memory By Claiming 21 Million Unemployed a “Great Day” For Him “Looking Down”
In response to Donald Trump’s unhinged and offensive comments at his celebratory press conference, Zac Petkanas, Director of Protect Our Care’s Coronavirus War Room issued the following statement:
“It’s hard to get lower and more self-serving than this. It’s bad enough to celebrate when 21 million Americans are still out of work but it’s even worse to besmirch the memory of George Floyd the day after his memorial service.
“He owes an apology to the Floyd family for politicizing their pain in an attempt to spin the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.”
Less than 24 hours after George Floyd’s memorial service, Trump called this a “great day” for Floyd and others "in terms of equality.”
